Data SummaryAlmost unanimously the students expressed valuing the activity and having learned about similarities and differences in the materials. All expressed the need for better controls on the demonstration and improved opportunity to observe regularly. Student comments reflected understanding of the key similarities and differences between materials.
Analysis SummaryThe demonstration will be kept in the curriculum, as engagement on this topic is demonstrable by discussion and content of lab observations. (12 out of 16)
Next Steps PlannedWill discuss isolation issues with Nursery Specialist, and identify a location in the greenhouses where demonstration will not be affected by extraneous watering and fertilizing activities. Also, all preparation activities will be completed in class, rather than after hours.
